Discovering Thessaloniki with a Polaroid in hand and as part of the MA Photography & Society at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague field trip.

In approaching the Greek men for a photograph and conversation, Sarah-Rose Antoun and Aline Pape found overlapping interests in this gesture: personal stories relating to a place and memory, masculinity and stereotypes when giving them the Polaroids image.

The use of 'missing' images serves as a reflective text, allowing for interpretation on what's absent and responding to our emotional experiences.
